You've heard the name Jiffy Lube and you've seen our famous red "flying J" logo around town or at any one of the nearly 2500 locations around the country. Please allow us a moment to tell you a bit more about us than you've heard or seen in our Radio and TV commercials.

Although our actual corporate name is Lubricar, Inc., you know us as Jiffy Lube.  Lubricar, Inc. is the authorized franchisee of Jiffy Lube International in New Mexico, Northern Arizona, Southern Colorado and Wyoming. We operate 44 stores in these four states: in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Rio Rancho, Bosque Farms, Pojoaque, Roswell and Las Cruces, New Mexico; Flagstaff, Payson and Show Low, Prescott Valley, Winslow, and Snowflake, Arizona as well as Cortez and Durango, Colorado and Sheridan, Wyoming. We currently employ over 500 employees.

Lubricar, Inc. is a third generation family business (the Mortensen family) with roots in Southern New Mexico and Arizona. Originally in the farming and ranching business,  we opened our first store in 1981; the second in 1984 and two more were added in 1985. In 1988, with 5 locations, we joined the "J-Team" as franchisees of Jiffy Lube International.

Currently three of the original partners are involved in Lubricar, Inc.: Bevan, Robert and Keith Mortensen. Keith currently serves as President of the organization. In 1997, Richard Jones, CPA, joined the organization as a partner and Chief Financial Officer. As a family business, we are personally all committed to quality. Our industry was founded on the concept of "no appointment necessary" and servicing vehicles in a fast and friendly fashion. Our facilities and our staffing are planned with speed and convenience in mind. Our philosophy, however,has always been to never sacrifice quality for speed.

That quality focus includes treating our customers with respect and kindness. As a Jiffy Lube franchisee, we have all the latest in automotive technology available to us; service bulletins, recall information, training, plus computer systems that enable us to keep extensive records on each vehicle.

This support from Jiffy Lube International (the largest quick lube system in the world) combined with Lubricar's "home-town" service and quality have earned us the prestigious New Mexico Quality Award, (the only quick lube business to have done so), Jiffy Lube International's Franchisee of the Year award in 1998 and the "People" award in 1999. In 2005 we won another award from Jiffy Lube for Community Service.  We know you have many choices in servicing your vehicle.
